Installing GPL Cver

  1. Download GPL Cver  here.

  2. Build the Cver and vcddiff source. We recommend making GPL Cver from source as it will provide the best performance on your system. Or download the pre-built binaries from here. If you download binaries you should still run the install tests. You must copy the pre-built binaries to the bin directory at the top level of the GPL Cver directory tree.

  3. Test the installation by changing the the test directories in the tests_and_examples directory at the top level of the GPL Cver release. First change to the install.tst directory and run the shell script. Then, if you plan to use the PLI, change to each of the 3 examples directories (examples.tf, examples.acc, and examples.vpi) and run the test shell script in each of the directories. Read the README file in each test directory for instructions on how to run the test.

  4. Finally copy the binary files in the bin directory to a location on user search path such as /usr/local/bin.
